Cost Improvement Engineer

Permanent - £45,255 per annum
An experienced Cost Improvement Engineer is wanted to join a major Sunderland employer on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will focus on identifying and implementing cost saving initiatives across the company.
Role & Responsibilities
Analysing current processes and identifying any cost saving opportunities
Collaborating with other departments in the business for cost improvement projects
Preparing detailed reports on cost improvement findings and ideas to present to management
Leading cost improvement projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery to budget constraints
Knowledge & Experience
Proven experience in a similar role ideally within manufacturing
Knowledge of quality systems – ISO/TS:16949, methods and practises including APQP, FMEA, Control Plan and PPAP
Six Sigma Certification is desirable
Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management
